Keepers At Home

Paper Stitched Cards

     We decided to teach the girls how to make hand-stitched homemade cards one month.  Click HEREfor an excellent online demonstration of how to begin making stitched cards.

     Below, you'll see some directions I wrote up for a very simple type of card stitching, using numerous strands of embroidery floss:


     Slightly more complex patterns for card stitching can be found HERE.  Most of them are copyrighted, so I'm not able to post most of the ones that I have on my computer.  However, just use the above link in this paragraph to find some free patterns you can download for your own use.

     If you don't own a paper-piercing tool (found typically at fabric and craft stores), you may also use a larger safety pin, or a small-to-medium-sized sewing needle.
