My Background
I enjoyed spending much of my twenties teaching in a public school. I had no idea at the time that the Lord would use my gift of teaching to bless my own children some day. When I married at age 26, it only took a few months to realize that being a "more than full time" teacher in a school wasn't all that compatible with my dreams of being a full-time wife and mom. I took a one-year leave of absence from my school district, and I began looking for another job in the education field that was more of a "9 to 5", "clock-in, clock-out" type of job. I was blessed to work for a local education district office for several years, happily working for half the salary, still involved in the field of education. But as time grew close to the birth of our oldest daughter, I knew my dream still involved being at home. And that's where I've been ever since! Happily. JOYfully. I love being a wife and mom! Motherhood, and teaching our precious girls at home, is truly filling all of the desires of my heart that really matter. God is faithful.
My Purpose
You will find that much of what I share on this site stems from my passion in raising godly children and in educating children at home. I hope you enjoy this site as much as I have enjoyed making it for you. As I develop different curriculum add-ons to supplement what we use in our home, I'll place them here to share with you!
By holding your mouse on the tabs at the top of this site, you'll find all kinds of information and free homeschooling and family helps.
We educate our children at home, and we use a variety of curricula. Sometimes, I develop pages and units to go with our curricula, and I'll post those here for you to share.
I also was a co-leader of a "Keepers At Home" girls' club for several years, so you will find some resources here for you as well. We've also participated with a small "Training Our Daughters to be Keepers at Home" club with two families, so as I come across new things or develop something for the girls, I'll share those here with you.
I have taught Latin classes in our community, to homeschooled students, so you'll find free notetaking pages and activities for Latina Christiana levels I and II.
