We are very careful with how we spend our money. I usually only spend around $300 for the entire school year for homeschool curriculum, etc., and that takes care of both of our children. However, after using the College Prep Genius program, I've seen tremendous improvements in our oldest daughter's PSAT scores, so I think that speaks for itself. While she could end up attending our local community college, that isn't her plan right now. In order to go to the type of colleges to which she feels drawn, the only way she's going to be able to afford that level of education is to score very high on the PSAT and the SAT in order to receive scholarships.
Last autumn, after working through College Prep Genius materials, she scored high enough as a 10th grader on the PSAT to be admitted to those colleges; she could increase her score to the level that she could be admitted into Ivy League schools even though that isn't necessarily her plan. College Prep Genius will enable her to do this if she continues to practice the College Prep Genius material.
I decided that it would be helpful to provide this level of training to students in the Roseburg and western Oregon area, so I looked into offering the two-day "crash course" training that College Prep Genius offers. ***Please note that I won't be making a penny by bringing this course to western Oregon.
We are going to offer this 2-day seminar on September 12th and 13th, 2014, at the Campbell Center (the house on the Wellspring Bible Fellowship property in Roseburg, Oregon). By having the class at the Campbell Center, this allows us to not need to charge families for a facility fee. Students will provide their own dinner on Friday the 12th and their own lunch on Saturday the 13th. This also helps to keep the class fees lower so we don't have to charge for meal fees.

I received the College Prep Genius set about three years ago, and it is totally worth its weight in gold! It truly is worth the money for the program because students perform so much better on the PSAT and the SAT and are eligible for so many more scholarships from their improved scores.
The College Prep Genius class fees are as follows:
- $249 for the first student in a family, which includes the College Prep Genius Textbook, Workbook and DVD set
- $149 for siblings of registered students siblings will receive the College Prep Genius Textbook and Workbook
- $100 for alumni students, and $150 for returning students who already own the materials
- $50 late fee for anyone registering after August 20th, 2014
Class tuition is non-refundable unless we don't have the minimum number of students registered by the August 20th deadline; in that case, your registration fees will be returned to you.
Again, this seems like a lot of money, but to take tutoring sessions that would cover the same material up in the Portland area, etc., would cost that much or more PER HOUR. The results after taking this 2-day seminar will speak for themselves.
This class is best for students going into 8th-12th grades. Students who haven't yet taken Algebra through Trig/Calculus can still benefit from this training, and as they progress in their math skills, the tips and tricks they learn on how to quickly answer the math questions will begin to make a lot more sense.
Would you believe that students are only given about a minute to answer each of the questions on the math portions of the PSAT/SAT? The College Prep Genius tips and tricks will make it possible to finish much more of the math section.
If you have questions, please email me or call me. Thanks!
