Joy In Our Journey's review ~ by Jan:
For excellent descriptive writing, an honest, realistic look at that far back time of the 1960’s you will not want to miss Dan Walsh’s new book, What Follows After. This book tells the story of two young boys who try to heal their parent’s marriage and stop the lies, in a time when divorce just didn’t happen in the “right” families.
Colt and Timmy hatch a plan to make their parents stop pretending to be the perfect family, and admit that there is a problem and get their family back together. But Timmy is abducted and Colt knows that he is to blame. If only he hadn’t come up with this plan to run away, but now it is too late, and it is all his fault. However, God is still in control and help comes from the most unexpected source.
Social situations are honestly addressed, and are somewhat surprising in our world 50+ years later. Dan Walsh has treated these delicate situations with thoughtful sensitivity as a background to his story. Do not miss What Follows After by Dan Walsh for a fascinating read that is hard to put down!
