You're a guy who's 18 years old, just graduated from high school, and you love sports and music. That's pretty normal these days. You've already studio-produced two albums of Christian worship pop/soft rock, and have a third album that has just been released. Well, that's definitely above and beyond normal! Meet Robert Pierre. Robert Pierre is your normal, everyday Christian young adult, who loves to sing. God has gifted him with a special talent to sing well in a Christian pop/soft rock style of worship music that would fit as easily on K-LOVE as it would in many Christian churches on Sunday morning. Keep on reading for an opportunity to win a copy of Robert Pierre's newest CD album, 'Im All In! I listened to some of the songs on his new CD album, I'm All In, and I enjoyed the music. It wasn't sloppy or over-the-edge rock. The lyrics were uplifting and encouraging. This may not be the music of my elderly grandmother or for someone who is longing for punk music, but it's the kind of music you can play while eating dinner together at the table, and worship as you eat your meal...or play as you roll down your windows and drive down the freeway on a beautiful summer day! I find it a bit difficult to explain in writing how I think and feel about someone's music unless it's really horrible. You know, the kind of music that makes you cringe. Well, Robert Pierre's music doesn't make me cringe! Instead, it makes me want to listen to more. That's always a good sign, don't you think? Instead of writing a poor attempt at trying to describe Robert Pierre's music, you may listen to one of his songs HERE. I specifically like the lyrics to this song: Stranger In This Land Robert Pierre, Matt Bronleewe, Jason Ingram This world will try to shut me down Push and shove me to the ground but I I been covered by the blood of Christ I am His and He is mine May be hated but this ain't my town Persecuted constantly beat down But there's a joy in the suffering Cause He is my identity I'm not of this world I'm a stranger in this land There's a narrow road ahead No matter what comes my way I'll be okay, okay, okay I will keep my eyes on you Knowing You will see me through No matter what comes my way I'll be okay, okay, okay Cause You got me in Your hand Cause You got me in Your hand It's always darkest before the dawn But I can see the rising sun as it Shines bright of what's to come My hope will never be undone I'm a stranger in this land There's a narrow road ahead No matter what comes my way I'll be okay, okay, okay I will keep my eyes on you Knowing You will see me through No matter what comes my way I'll be okay, okay, okay Cause You got me in Your hand Cause You got me in Your hand There's a day coming There's a day coming There's a day coming I'll see Your face If you'd like to learn a bit more about Robert Pierre, you can visit his Facebook page. You can also view an in-depth overview of Robert Pierre's music history and how his albums have come into play over the last several years. Did you know that he wrote or co-wrote 10 out of the 11 songs on this new album? I'd embed the video here for you, but it's around 10 minutes long, which makes it a big large to include for those who receive Joy In Our Journey.com updates via email subscription. Robert Pierre's music is available HERE. Another thing I have enjoyed reading about Robert Pierre is his call to ministry through music: For Robert, I'm All In is more than the name of his 3rd studio album. It has become Robert's life motto as he responds to God's calling to live fully committed to Him. In addition to writing and recording I'm All In and playing on a summer tour, Robert also leads regular Sunday morning worship at his 800-member Orlando, Florida church. And he's done it all as a high school senior. "All of the songs have something to do with things I was going through my senior year," Robert said of I'm All In, "preparing to say goodbye to friends and not really knowing what would come next, but finding comfort and peace in the Lord's plan for my life. The Bible talks about how the eyes of the Lord are searching to and fro throughout the earth, searching for someone whose heart is wholly His, someone He can strongly support. This CD is me saying, "I'm all in." Creating I'm All In was a powerfully personal experience for Robert, who teamed with veteran song writer Jason Ingram (Tenth Avenue North, Sanctus Real, Bebo Norman) and legendary producer Matt Bronleewe (Jars of Clay, Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman) on the album. The result is a collection of songs that enthusiastically and energetically worship God while wrestling with what it means to be a Christian in a world full of difficulty and joy, anxiety and excitement."
