If you haven't already seen this on my website, I was one of 10 bloggers selected to help promote a new Amish fiction book called Goodbye to Yesterday by Wanda E. Brunstetter...and help giveaway a brand new Kindle! As part of the promotion, each of the ten of us hid a clue word on our blog post in capital letters. After visitors to our blogs wrote down all ten clues in capital letters, they were to combine them into a question. The answer to the question is found in the free download of chapter 1 of this new book (see link below to download and read Chapter 1). After entrants compile the question and read the short chapter to find the answer to the question they compiled, they are to send the question and the answer to the gal in charge of the promotion. A drawing will be held of those entrants who had the question and answer correct. I thought I'd remind you about this, because on my blog post, I've linked to each specific page on the 10 blogs so it makes it really easy to find the clue word in capital letters. It took me about 4-5 minutes altogether to collect the 10 clue words. I wanted to try it out, even though I'm ineligible to enter the giveaway, just to see how difficult it would be. One of the clue words is a one-letter word that is capitalized, so it's trickier to spot. Another clue word appears below the book review of one of the bloggers. But it still took a total of about 5 minutes. I couldn't quite figure out the question by combining the 10 words together, so I wrote them down on little scraps of paper and scrambled them around until I had a sentence (question) that made sense. The answer is easy to figure out once Chapter 1 is read (free download link is also on my page for the PDF version of it). If anyone wants to go to the 10 blogs and write down the clue words, then unscramble them into a question, and then read the chapter quickly and find out the answer, you have until Monday (midnight), February 18th to enter the giveaway. I don't know that this is Pacific time; I wasn't told that, so you should probably assume you'd need to have this done by 9 p.m. Pacific time just to make sure you get your entry in on time. Because a lot of the bloggers didn't link to all 10 specific pages, I'm assuming that not a ton of people are going to enter the contest. I thought it would be easier to link to all of the 10 pages so you wouldn't have to hunt on people's blogs to try to find the correct blog post in order to write down the clue word. Here's the link to the directions on my website plus the direct links to the 10 blog posts from the other bloggers, plus the link to the Chapter 1 download. http://www.joyinourjourney.com/1/post/2013/02/the-discovery-saga-scavenger-hunt-\and-kindle-giveaway.html I hope one of you wins the Kindle! Wouldn't that be fun? :)
